Paula Mahan is currently serving her sixth term in the office. She is a longtime Colonie resident, a leader and a mother. Over the past ten years, she has dedicated her life to standing up for Colonie residents while restoring high ethical standards, fiscal responsibility and efficient government practices.

Public Notices

On May 9, 2019 at 7:00 p.m., the Town of Colonie, in conjunction with the Villages of Colonie and Menands, will hold a public hearing in the Hearing Room at Memorial Town Hall, Latham, New York. The hearing will be for the purpose of reviewing program performance and obtaining the views of citizens on what projects should be included in the Town's 2019-2020 Entitlement Action Plan.

The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation has issued a Notice of Completion of the Final Environmental Impact Statement (FEIS) for the Area 7 Development for the Town of Colonie Landfill.

The public hearing on the revised draft of the Town of Colonie’s 2019 Comprehensive Plan Update will be continued on Thursday, May 9th at the Town Board meeting, which begins at 7 pm.

The Latham Water District will begin its yearly flushing of the water system on Sunday, March 24th, 2019. Flushing will begin at 9:00 pm and continue until 7:00 am Sunday nights through Wednesday nights. Flushing during the night hours will continue until May 23rd, 2019.

The Latham Water District has awarded a contract to New Castle Paving, LLC. for the construction of two new water mains to be utilized as emergency interconnects with the City of Albany’s water distribution system.

One of the interconnections will be 3,200 feet of 16-inch ductile iron water main and its associated metering and pumping vault constructed along VFW Drive and New Karner Road.

Construction is expected to begin on Monday April 8th, 2019 and be completed by the end of July 2019.

The Latham Water District has awarded a contract to ANJO Construction for the installation of 3,800 feet of 12-inch high-density polyethylene (HDPE) water main along NYS Route 9 (Loudon Road) from 640 Loudon Road to the intersection of Maxwell Road.

This construction is expected to begin on Monday April 15th, 2019 and be completed by the end of July 2019.
