Peter G. Crummey

Town Supervisor

Peter G. Crummey was sworn in as the 18th Supervisor of the Town of Colonie on January 1, 2022. Prior to becoming Supervisor, Peter had the great honor of serving the citizens of the Town of Colonie for over 40 years. Supervisor Crummey started work at Town Hall in 1980 as a law clerk in the Town Attorney’s Office while a student at Albany Law School. His service continued as a Deputy Town Attorney and served as the attorney for the Zoning Board of Appeals for 13 years. Most recently, Supervisor Crummey served 21 years as the Senior Colonie Town Judge and Court Administrator. Peter’s public service also included representing a portion of the Town of Colonie as an Albany County Legislator for eight years.

Supervisor Crummey is a life-long resident of the Town of Colonie having graduated from Shaker High School, Boston College, and Albany Law School. He is the proud father of four daughters and one son who were raised and educated in the Town of Colonie. Peter, Sandy and children reside in the Hamlet of Loudonville.
