Paula A. Mahan is now serving in her seventh term as Colonie Town Supervisor. Her primary goals since assuming office in 2008 have been achieving financial stability for Colonie. In support of those goals, she has taken a positive and proactive approach to reducing the size of government while safeguarding the excellent resident services that make Colonie a great place to live and do business.
Prior to holding elected office, Supervisor Mahan was an educator in the North Colonie School District for more than 25 years. She was also an Adjunct Instructor at Sage Graduate College for many years. In addition to being the founder and Chairperson of Citizens Organized for Responsible Government, an organization dedicated to good government in the Town of Colonie, she has served on the boards of numerous community organizations.
A resident of the Town of Colonie since 1973, she is married and has two sons. In her free time she loves spending time with her grandson and granddaughter.
