The Investigations
Division is responsible for investigation of crimes committed within Colonie.
Since there are many types of crimes, there must be many types of specialized
investigations. The Colonie Police Department Investigation Division has
several units and sub-specialties.
The general investigations unit handles most crimes against persons and property. This would include assault, robbery, burglary, and others.
