Rules & Regulations:
SECTION IV – GOLF COURSE
a. Town of Colonie residents must obtain a golf course card from the
Town Clerk’s office at Town Hall, Newtonville. Only town residents
or tax payers of Colonie are qualified to obtain these permits.
b.
ALL players must pay their appropriate fees at the Pro Shop, including
but not limited to greens fees, range fees, golf carts and lockers.
c.
When reserving a tee-off time, the Staff will ask the following questions:
Name, Card #, How many players in the group. The Pro will try to arrange
groups of four (4) players teeing off at the same time. This can be
done by adding two smaller groups, providing the smaller group is
told. No tee-off time can be reserved more than 2 days in advance
for residents and no more than 1 day in advance for non- residents.
Only one tee-time may be registered for at a time.

NO player is allowed to play without wearing a shirt
e.
Only two (2) golfers per golf cart.
f.
Children under 12 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.
g.
Children under 16 years of age are not allowed to drive golf carts.
h.
Each player must have a set of golf clubs
i.
NO fivesomes are allowed unless the Pro or authorized personnel’s
approval is given.
j.
NO kegs, cases, bottles or cans of beer or liquor may be brought on
the course unless it is approved by the Parks & Recreation Department.
k.
Golfers must employ proper golf etiquette and abide by all local and
USGA golf rules while playing at this course.
l.
NO motor bikes, riding bikes or snowmobiles are allowed on golf course
property.
m.
Only the Pro and Concessionaire may sell or rent merchandise at this
facility.
n.
If someone uses the I.D. of another person, the owner of the I.D.
will lose his card for a 30 day period, and both involved will not
be able to play at this course for a 30 day period.
o.
Anyone who causes damage to the golf course must pay for the damage
and may be excluded from the course for a 30-day period.
p.
Carts designed to carry only golf bags, commonly known as “hand
carts,” (whether operated by battery, engine, or otherwise)
are permitted at the Golf Course. However, their use is subject to
the approval of the Golf Course Manager, or his designee, who may
deny their use if it will adversely affect the safety of the public
or the Golf Course.
q.
Carts designed to carry persons, commonly known as “golf carts”
(whether operated by battery, engine, or otherwise) are not permitted
at the Golf Course unless they are owned and maintained by the Town
of Colonie. Special exceptions from this rule may be granted by the
Golf Course Manager, or his designee, to accommodate a physically
handicapped individual whose personal cart is specially equipped for
said golfer. However, a special exception may not be granted if it
will adversely affect public safety or the Golf Course.
r.
Rain checks will only be issued when the course is closed by the Town
of Colonie.
