What’s New - 2016

Welcome to the 2016 golf season!  We are looking forward to another great year playing host to over 30 leagues and 50 golf outings and tournaments in 2016. Once again over 60,000 rounds of golf are expected to be played over our 36 holes this season. The lack snow cover and warm late Winter temperatures have us poised to get off to an early start this year! A few early practice rounds can be just what the doctor ordered for many of us who looking to have a great season on the course.
Martel’s Restaurant is looking forward to another great year as our food and beverage concessionaire.  Martel’s offers great daily and outing menu options, truly enhancing our golfer’s experience. They have also expanded their patio to enhance the outdoor dining opportunities during the Summer months.
As in 2015, we will no longer be issuing cards for permits. Colonie Residents and Senior Residents (age 62 and up) will register with the golf course to obtain their Colonie Resident discounts. Resident players just need to bring in their current Resident Permit to be placed in our data base as a Resident. If you are a non-senior Colonie Resident and you registered with us in 2015, you will not need to renew as you are currently in our system. Senior Residents will no longer go to the Town Clerks office to obtain their permits as they will now come to the golf course to register for the season long discounts.  Senior Resident Permit holders DO need to re-register every season. The golf shop staff will take pictures of Residents, and ask for a driver’s license to verify age and residency for Resident Seniors. Resident golfers will only need to supply their name to make tee times and obtain Colonie Resident discounts.
It will be an enjoyable golf season at Colonie Town Golf Course. We are looking forward to seeing everyone out here having a great time playing in their league, outing, or just coming out to tee it up with friends and family.
