Encyclopedia Britannica has excellent articles on most topics in philosophy. The link above is to the entire encyclopedia - philosophy is listed as a topic on the left side under explore.

Ethics Update http://ethics.sandiego.edu This is a great site! It includes links to PowerPoint presentations, articles and links but it is the streaming video links that really stand out. There are videos of classroom lectures that make you really see how remote learning can work. Oh and I left out the discussion forums. Check it out!

A good source for basic information on topics and philosophers. Entries are often fairly substantial.

Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy http://plato.stanford.edu
Designed to provide high quality and up to date information. The goal is to have each entry kept up to date by experts. There are currently about 600 articles on line.

The official Internet site of the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints. Includes information on their beliefs and activities and also numerous historical sources. There is also access to their new family history search service for genealogists.

The National Council Of Catholic Bishops http://www.nccbuscc.org/
The National Conference of Catholic Bishops (NCCB) and the United States Catholic Conference (USCC) are the organizations of the American Catholic hierarchy. Times Union Communities http://timesunion.com/communities/religion/ There may not be a comprehensive listing of local churches but the best around is at the Time Union. There were 58 church entries on the left margin when I looked in August 2001.
