Centers For Disease Control and Prevention - http://www.cdc.gov - Large site with information on health of infants, children, teens, men, women and older adults. Also information in travel, environmental and occupational health.

Dirline http://dirline.nlm.nih.gov - the National Library of Medicine's online database containing descriptions of organizations, research centers and research projects pertaining to various areas of medicine. Search by keyword.

Family Doctor.org http://www.familydoctor.org - the official site for the
American Academy of Family Physicians. This includes a database of over 500 Health Topics, a Family Doctor Search, a Drug Information Database and a Medical Dictionary.

Health Finder- http://www.healthfinder.gov
Developed by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services as a gateway to consumer health information.

InteliHealth- http://www.intelihealth.com - is reviewed and approved by leading medical experts. More than 150 top health care organizations contribute to InteliHealth's content, including the National Institutes of Health, other government agencies, major non-profits, other publishers and news media. Includes a comprehensive health library , consumer and medical journal abstracts, drug databases, information from the National Institutes of Health and other organizations.

KidsHealth.org http://KidsHealth.org/- Separate browsing areas for kids, parents, and health professionals. Parents will find a collection of resources on pediatric and parenting issues. Has a site search engine and index.

Lab Tests Online: http://www.labtestsonline.org - supplies comprehensive information on laboratory testing. One may search by the name of the laboratory test, by medical condition or by type of screening (newborn, adult, etc).

National Health Information Center http://www.health.gov/nhic/ -U.S. Dept. Of Health and Human Services clearinghouse and information referral services puts consumers in touch with organizations that have toll-free numbers, publications, and information on diseases, addictions, and health care issues.

National Organization for Rare Disorders http://www.rarediseases.org - the National Organization for Rare Disorders (NORD) official site. There is a comprehensive database of rare diseases as well as a list of rare disease-related organizations.
