Limerick Contest Winners
After many hours of deliberations, the judges chose five winners out of over 400 entries! Next time you’re in Youth Services, take a look at the creative, clever, and amusing limericks written by local 5-8th grade students. Congratulations to the winners of our 2009 Limerick Contest: Jameson Hoffman and Jessica Hitt from Loudonville Christian School; Rachel Little and Danielle Spitzer from Lisha Kill Middle School; and Abigail Jordan from Our Savior’s Lutheran School.

Mother/Daughter Book Talk
Our ever-popular program for 5-8th grade girls and their moms, aunts, or grandmothers begins again in the fall. Registration starts Tuesday, September 1, 2009 and our first meeting will be Saturday, September 26.

2008-2009 Bookmark Contest Winners
Thank you to the 87 children who entered our 10th annual Bookmark Contest! We had a talented group of young artists, and it was fun to see such beautiful artwork. George Dirolf, an art teacher at Bethlehem High School, selected our winners from two age groups, 6-9 years and 10-14 years.
Winning bookmarks will be shown in our newsletters throughout the year and on the library's website. Each month, we will have free copies of the bookmarks available to patrons at the Youth Services Desk. The 2008-2009 bookmarks will also be displayed year-round in Youth Services.
