The Village of Colonie H. B. Kuhn Senior Citizen Center is located within the Village of Colonie and it is open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The center is closed on Fridays during the summer. If you are at least 55 years of age, live in the Town of Colonie and attend one monthly business meeting, you are eligible to join. Monthly meetings are held on the first Tuesday of the month at 10 a.m. at which a guest speaks about senior issues. The annual dues for membership is $8.00.
The objective of the Village of Colonie H. B. Kuhn Senior Citizen Center is to afford seniors a place to participate in activities, meet new people, travel to historic places and to enjoy the camaraderie of your peers. Activities offered include: bingo, bridge, pinochle, language classes (German and Spanish), square dancing, line dancing, quilting, Tai Chi, exercise, singing, yoga, woodworking and many other fun activities. Our club has theme parties during the year, including a Mardi Gras or St. Patrick’s Day party, an anniversary celebration, a picnic held at Cook Park, a Halloween party or Octoberfest and a December holiday party.
