Biography:

Daniel J. Dustin (R-C-I) is a New York licensed Certified Public Accountant and serves as the Executive Secretary of the New York State Board for Public Accountancy. Appointed by the New York State Board of Regents in 1998, Dan is responsible for the licensure and regulation of Certified Public Accountants and Public Accountants in New York.

Dan is a lifelong resident of Colonie and a graduate of the North Colonie public schools. Dan and his wife Becky reside in Latham, NY with their two sons.

Councilman Dustin's duties as a Town Board Member include being part of the legislative, appropriating, governing, and policy-determining body of the Town. He assists in appointing all non-elected officers and employees of the Town. Councilman Dustin also acts on the budget recommended by the Town Supervisor as well as approving budget modifications or transfers, creates non-compensatory advisory boards and, along with the Supervisor, appoints their members.
