According to the American Heart Association (AHA) approximately 300,000 sudden cardiac arrests occur each year in the United States with a survival rate of less than 8%.
AHA has determined that to increase the survival rate from sudden cardiac arrest the following steps need to happen:
· Recognize an emergency.
· Call 9-1-1!
· Begin Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
· Use an AED
