The above document is the September 23, 2011 “Final Technical Memorandum Boght Road GEIS-Route 9 Update” prepared by Creighton Manning Engineering on behalf of the Town of Colonie Town Board and Planning Board.  This report constitutes an update of the 1989 Boght Road Area GEIS as it relates to traffic.  This report is a planning tool only, and is not meant to represent definitive development projects or transportation improvements that may or may not occur within the study area.  This report and its recommendations may be used by the Town of Colonie Planning Board in its review of current or future development projects planned in the Town of Colonie.  It is also intended that this report may become the basis for an official amendment to the current Statement of Findings of the 1989 Boght Road/Columbia Street Area GEIS.  There is a minimum 30-day public comment period on the attached report.  The Planning Board is expected to hold a public hearing on the report and an amended findings statement prior to adoption (likely Spring 2012).
