Would it be possible to have a computer on the 2nd floor to locate books/authors of nonfiction?

For my needs, you are EXCELLENT!!!!! but then you always have been! What you do not have in a series of authors' books, cd books, or dvds, you get them for me through the Hudson Valley Library Service! Great Service! Thank you!

Called the Colonie library because the dvd I wanted to rent kept showing being held. Was advised they hold for seven days before going to the next person on waiting list. In my opinion when the dvd becomes available it should be picked up within 24 but not more than 48 hours tops. If there is a waiting list for books, dvd’s music etc. The item should be picked up in a timely manner within 24 hours, (maybe extended to 48 hours if the person calls back to advise they will pick up the item. It is a shame to have an item on hold for seven days not being utilized when someone else could be enjoying it.

I use the libary frequently and understand the need to cut hours to save costs, but I would rather see the library be open from 12-4 rather than 1-5 on Sundays. Today, Feb 5, there were 28 cars in the parking lot at 1:00 PM when the facility opened which indicates to me that people are available earlier. Later in the afternoon, I'd think people were needing to be home to prepare for dinner.
