Monday, February  6  7:00 PM: Hudson Mohawk Bird Club: On Safari in Namibia- In this travelogue program, Gregg Recer will share photos from travels he took through northern Namibia in 2010. The northern part of the country includes extensive savanna and riparian corridors that abound with a tremendous variety of birds, including many southern-Africa endemics and old-world families such as ostrich, rollers, hornbills, bee-eaters, guineafowl, babblers, weavers and waxbills. The program will explore several of Namibia's excellent national parks, including the Namib-Naukluft, Etosha, Mahango and Mudumu.


Winter Storytime Information
Winter Storytimes begin the week of January 30 and continue through March 30, 2012. Registration begins Saturday, January 21 in Youth Services. Click here for a complete schedule.

 

Art Reception
Wednesday, February 8
5-7pm
The public is invited to a reception for artist Kristin Lansing. Kristin is a freshman at Shaker High School. Her artwork will be on display in the library Teen Art Gallery during the month of February.
