Topping the List: Colonie Town Supervisor Paula Mahan was named Elected Official of the Year by the American Public Works Association’s Capital Branch on February 27 in recognition of her support for important infrastructure projects.  Two Town projects also won top awards for projects under $5 million.  The Sand Creek Road Improvement Project was named Transportation Project of the Year and the Water Treatment Filter Repair Project at the Mohawk View Water Treatment Plant was named Disaster or Emergency Repair Project of the Year.   Pictured at the awards ceremony are Town of Colonie employees Pure Waters Superintendent Chretien Voerg, Water Engineer Dan Seaver, Latham Water Superintendent John Frazer, Supervisor Mahan, Public Works Operations Supervisor Bill Neeley and DPW Commissioner John Cunningham.
